Ive omitted the oil, cashews and raisins from this recipe because Im working on slashing the fat off my body as quickly as possible (the oil and cashews are high-fat and I didnt add the raisins because I didnt have any on hand). So far Ive lost a total of 13.6lbs in 13 days by eating only raw foods. My average weight loss is 1 pound per day on a raw food diet which is actually more than I was losing when I was doing the HCG diet! This recipe is also good for Phase 2 on the HCG diet. Heres the full recipe Ingredients: Red cabbage Green onions (shallots) Cashews, roughly chopped Raisins Apple cider vinegar Olive oil Chili powder (or cayenne pepper) I dont have measurements for this because I always eye it when making salads according to my taste. You can add capers and pickled or hot peppers to it, but don't add lettuce, ever! You can also add any fresh herbs, such as basil, marjoram, savory, or parsley. Greek Salad on Greek Food TV�ܼ - Greek Food - Mediterranean diet Recipes from Greece: GREEK SALAD By Diane Kochilas 6 SERVINGS for Greek Salad 4 medium firm, ripe tomatoes 1 medium cucumber 1 medium red onion 1-2 bell or long peppers, seeded and cut into rings Salt to taste on Greek Salad 3 - 4 oz. Greek feta, crumbled or sliced 1 tsp. dried Greek oregano 3 tablespoons extra virgin Greek olive oil Great Greek Salad 1. Wash, core and cut the tomatoes into wedges. Place in serving bowl. 2. Wash, peel, and slice cucumbers into ½-inch rounds. Place in bowl with tomatoes. 3. Peel onions, cut in half and then into 1/8 -- inch slices. Place in bowl. If using peppers, add to the salad. * 4. Recipe: Balsamic-Maple Glazed Ham Ingredients 1 bone-in skinless smoked ham, shank or butt end portion (7 lb.) 1/4 cup KRAFT Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing 1/4 cup maple-flavored or pancake syrup 1 Tbsp. GREY POUPON Dijon Mustard 8 parsnips (2 lb.), trimmed, peeled and cut into 1/2-inch-wide spears 1-1/2 lb. baby carrots 3 Tbsp. olive oil Directions HEAT oven to 325ºF. Place ham, fat-side up, in foil-lined roasting pan. Score ham; cover with foil. Bake 1 hour. Mix dressing, syrup and mustard; brush 1/3 of glaze onto ham. BAKE, uncovered, 1 hour or until ham is heated through (140ºF). Brush with remaining glaze every 20 min. Meanwhile, toss parsnips and carrots with oil in large shallow baking pan. Add to oven with ham after the first 15 min. of ham baking time, stirring vegetables every time ham is brushed with glaze. TRANSFER ham to cutting board; cover loosely with foil. Let stand 15 min. Hi I'm Adrien Sharp for the Kraft Kitchens here with some great ideas for what to serve and how to pack your next picnic. Let's start with the food. Sandwiches are the original here when it comes to food that travels but just because they're portable does not mean they have to be predictable. With just a few simple steps you can create your own masterpiece. This is the Kickn' Chicken Wrap. Perfect for eating outdoors. The kick comes from the chipotle flavored mayo and the jalapeño American cheese. All you need to do is spread your mayo on the bottom, add the cheese, next with the chicken, the lettuce and then the celery. That's all there is to it! This ones the the Tuscan Club on a ciabatta roll. It's made with shaved oven turkey breast bacon lettuce tomato and here comes the Tuscan part: sun dried tomato and basil cream cheese on the top half of the ciabatta and some Italian dressing on the bottom half. If you enjoy Tzatziki, you will love this recipe for the ultimate Greek food condiment for meat dishes, sandwiches, pita, and crackers. Creating a recipe video is always a learning experience. This is my first cameo appearance in an instructional Greek cooking video (I have to admit, I was a little nervous), so there is much room for improvement from a presentational, technical, and production value standpoint. On the other hand, I believe my recipe for a classic Tzatziki sauce leaves very little room for improvement, as the result is simply excellent - even if I do say so myself. Rich and creamy, with a bold garlicky flavour mingled with the freshness of the cucumber and dill, this sauce (or dip, or salad) will have you, your family, friends, and guests coming back for more. Just make sure to refrigerate it well before serving as the flavours need some time to coalesce in order to impart the full gustatory sense of this "salad" that eats like a sauce. Let me just say that I likely could have edited this video until the cows came home (figuratively of course, we don't have a dairy farm), but I am happy with the recipe, so I decided to publish it as is. My one solace: I am quite certain that after watching this Greek recipe video, you will not easily forget how to make a great Tzatziki sauce ...
