  1. Prosecco is a lot more than that. First, Prosecco is the name of a grape. And the good wine stays in Italy (if not in Veneto alone), I've only seen one good Prosecco outside Italy once, at Trader Joe's in NM. Even that, not the best one. Prosecco is not only made as a poor copy of Champagne, it has its own character. Brut Proseccos are not the best ones. Demi Sec or still can be a lot better. But one will only discover that if travels to Valdobbiadenne and Conegliano Veneto, in Treviso, northeast Italy. The region of DOC Prosecco, being its premium Cartizze Prosecco. How I miss that!
