Denver's best happy hours

A. Bacaro Venetian Taverna

An inviting bar and restaurant on Boulder's historic Pearl Street that boasts homemade pasta dishes and a thoughtfully-crafted wine list. Happy hour and late-night bar menus offered daily.

Open until 10 p.m.

B. College Inn

The kitchen stays open late and the daily happy hour includes a hearty spread of pizza, pasta and chicken wings at this easygoing neighborhood pub catering to students from nearby University of Colorado School of Medicine.

Open until 2 a.m.

C. Govnr's Park

This long-time favorite of the after work crowd located in the shadow of the Colorado Governor's Mansion has daily drink specials and free happy hour munchies from 2:30 to 6:30 and 9PM to close.

D. Mezcal

Tequila connoisseurs head to this hip cantina-style bar and restaurant among the galleries and indie boutiques on bustling East Colfax for $1 tacos and Mexican beers during the afternoon and late-night happy hours.

E. nine75

Happy hour runs from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday thru Friday at this hip, eclectic restaurant and lounge serving comfort food with a rock 'n' roll twist.

F. Redfish New Orleans Brewhouse

This Louisiana-style fish house and brewery boasts a tasteful beer selection, live music, and daily happy hour from 4 to 7pm and all day on Sunday.

G. Union - An American Bistro

Happy Hour is Monday thru Friday from 2 to 6 PM and includes $2.50 well drinks, house wines and select beers. But the real reason to show up to this tasteful bistro is the fresh-squeezed margaritas and progressive martini menu.

  1. i think a contender for the list should be the 9th door, on 18th and blake. their happy hour tapas menu makes that place affordable, and the drink specials are excellent. mojitos anyone? also, happy hour is the only time you can get fried goat cheese, which is outstanding.
